Foot Fetish by Skinn Cosmetics.
This cute little stick is all you need to keep your tootsies in sandal ready all season long. The sturdy wind up tube of solid balm glides over rough and parched heels, and in dry rough spots (it also works great on elbows and knees too, and as a pre-fake tan prep). Made with skin conditioning and softening ingredients; vitamins A, E and C, shea butter, meadowfoam seed and jojoba oil for hydration, and exfoliant, Salicylic Acid, this decadent heel balm helps restore dry and rough feet overnight, and helps restore moisture with each use.
For best results, slather on before bed and pop on some cotton socks. Can't wait that long? Slather on the balm and wrap feet in cling wrap for 30 minutes.
Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
As a new 2nd time mum, my cuticles have been much neglected. Fishing things out of a toddler's mouth, letting a newborn suckle on fingers, and constantly washing bottles does little for them. Enter Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. This freshly scented solid cream melts into parched and cracked cuticles to relieve dryness and discomfort. Made with sweet almond oil, cocoa seed butter, vitamin E and sunflower oil, this cream softens and helps improve brittle nails and gnarly skin. In a pinch, it also works great as a lip balm and taming frizzy hair.
Beauty Tip: I slather this on prior to washing bottles as the heat generated by the rubber gloves helps the cream penetrate better.
Essence Matte Bronzing Powder
This jumbo matte bronzer is available in two shades 01 Blondes and 02 Brunettes, and is a steal at $4.99. Use to warm up your complexion, contour face and body, eyeshadow, and scrape off a little and tint your sunscreen or moisturizer.
Beauty packing tip - when packing makeup compacts, stuff with cotton ball to prevent powder from crumbling and shattering in transit.
I'm a fan strip and patch forms of beauty products. Wax strips, treatment strips, masks, and color, bring them on! Facial Smoothies are wrinkle removal strips designed to 'iron' out wrinkles by holding skin in an unwrinkled position to help retrain it back to being smooth. Think of it as 'skin training' rather than age reversal. These innovative strips work by ironing out wrinkled skin with unique adhesives that hold skin in a smooth state. Facial smoothies make treating wrinkles on the go a cinch, especially on long haul flights, where paper masks and masks are increasingly becoming du jour. They're also perfect for those of us who are lazy or strapped for time when it comes to anti-aging regimens as you can pop this on trouble areas at night and let the strips work their magic, and wake up to more rested and smoother skin.

Kicking off Memorial day weekend, I treated myself to one of the newL'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balms and an Amande Delicious Soap. It so happened, the Flatiron store was having an event and I also scored some limited edition champagne inspired gummy bears and skincare samples.
The lip tint I picked up was Rose Amber, a deep rose brown that imparts a sheer wash of tint on lips. Much to my dismay, all the other shades had already sold out. The sales associate had re-assured me that they''d be re-stocking next week. She had said these balms had been flying out the door since their launch earlier in the week!
Initially, these balms caught my eye due to their similarity to the Fresh lip balms (of which I am a huge fan) but at a more wallet friendly price ($16).
The balm itself is lightly scented, which quickly dissipates as the product is applied, with no discernible taste. From a formula perspective, the product is lightweight and sheer, and doesn't feel greasy, sticky or heavy on the lips. A little definitely goes a long way. While the shade is not something I normally gravitate towards, I was pleasantly surprised by how sheer the colour was when I swatched it as the colour in the tube is quite deep. Despite this difference, the shade appears to be more a warm orange nude tint rather than a brightening pink or red. As above, compared to Fresh Sugar Lip Balms, Rose Amber is deeper and warmer than Honey and Petal.
I've been sporting Rose Amber all weekend and have been impressed by this lip balm. It glides smoothly over lips and doesn't collect in the corners of my mouth or turn goopy every time I re-apply. In addition, it also makes my lips appear more fuller and hydrated. From a colour perspective, the tint imbued is just right and enhances my natural lip tone. What's also great is that the balm doesn't appear to bleed outside my lip borders, as can be seen above.
I prefer stick balm formats compared to tubes and pots as they are more hygienic, easier to apply on-the-go and have a longer shelf life due to their lower water content in the formula. In addition, I also feel the solid balms are more emollient and retain moisture on the lips longer than tube, liquid, cream formulas.
I'll definitely go back and grab the Rose Nude and Transparent balms from the collection!

Just in time for summer.
